NEW: Eighth Hospital Price Transparency Compliance Report
PatientRightsAdvocate.org’s latest review of 2,000 hospitals subject to the federal Hospital Price Transparency Rule found that compliance rose to the highest level ever recorded, 49.4%. However, hospitals continue to post incalculable algorithms and percentages, in lieu of actual, dollar-and-cents prices, leaving patients in the dark.
As of January 1, 2021, hospitals are required to publish clear, accessible pricing information online
43% of reviewed hospitals are posting fewer prices now than last year in PRA’s November 2024 report.

New Report: Majority of Hospitals Still Noncompliant with Hospital Price Transparency Rule
PatientRightsAdvocate.org (PRA) released its latest Hospital Price Transparency Report, which found that the majority of hospitals are still failing to comply with the federal rule that went into effect more than five years ago, requiring all hospitals to publicly post all prices online.
